I need some help here guys. I have never used an electric fillet knife, but since I am getting much better at catching gills and crappie, I figured that it was time that I took that plunge. I know nothing about them. The knife that I need should be able to do steelhead, panfish, walleye, and catfish as these are the only fish that I eat. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Cordless would be cool, but maybe not necessary. Which brands should I look at and which ones should I avoid? If you've read this post and own an electric fillet knife, please take a moment and tell me something. Thank you.

We have the berkley one and it does the job on small fish such as gills and perch but bigger fish it seems to struggle a bit. ill have to check what my old man's is. That one seems to fly through everything.

They both have cords tho. I have heard the rapala one is decent and I believe that one is cordless.

LOL! Thanks for looking anyway. I'm pretty good with a regular fillet knife, but I'm going to have to relearn filleting when I start with an electric knife. I hope I don't butcher too many fillets before I get the hang of it.

I ended up with an American Angler MT3 Saltwater 12V knife. I also bought a 6amp 110v converter from Walmart so I can use it either with 12v or in the house. I feel like a f#$%ing idiot for not having one of these years ago. I went from 3 minutes per crappie to 45 seconds! That's ridiculous. I love that knife. It has an 8" and a 10" blade. They are called "shark blades" cause they are super thin and low profile. They slice through fish so fast that you gotta be careful. I highly recommend this knife to any and all.
