In response to lagging attendance numbers and angler feedback It has been determined that The NEIFC will no longer continue into the 2015 Season as is. We have canceled events in PA due to projected lower numbers and economic conditions that may too contribute to a less than quality event. Some such conditions and feedback indicated a wide traveling series if too costly for anglers having to travel such a wide region that we have been focusing on. Furthermore Oneida lake too has been canceled due to similar circumstances. The current series will close out the season on Honeoye and Conesus Lakes.
It has been taken under advisement form an outside agency that NEIFC will undergo some restructuring to bring the NY State area and beyond. Part of this restructuring indicates that the competitive angling interest in the east is still lagging in popularity and a a more regional single state event must be created. Through this the NEIFC is being be acquired by another organization or management group to bring top level national competition ice angling to NYS.
Thank You for your participation and support.
