Here is story about are trip to Minnesota to NAIFC Championship ........ Day 1 Monday ...3:30pm a few of the guys went fishing deep water they caught small Perch and some nice Walleye Day 2 Nick and I fished in 6-7 ft of sallow water ,the rest of the guys went deep about 26 ft looking for big Perch ,Nick caught the first Crappie and seen a couple Blue Gill , the rest of the guys caught Perch out in the deep water the biggest one was a 1/2 lb not many of those Day 3 Nick check his holes to see if there where more Crappies ,I check a spot where 2 guys had fished for 4 hours the day before it paid of 1 1/2lb Crappie Just caught one and left Kevin fished with Nick and I for hour and we left and decided to leave the spot alone....The guys fished for the Perch and did better some 3/4lb but not many Day 4 Nick and I camera Holes of Blue Gills we didn't see any very little weed beds so we went out for perch lots of small perch few of the guys caught perch and walleyes Day 5 Jeffrey 2ND went in the same cove we found Crappies in and caught Blue Gills the problem was due to bad Ice the bounty got cut down left Crappies in 2 areas of the Bay with all these pros no problem to find Day 1 of tournament ...One group of 50 teams 15 ft apart and the other group of 30 teams in another area 15ft apart pressure fishing but 2 teams did hold there own Kevin and Jeff in 12Th and Jeff 2ND and Jason in 17Th Day2 The pressure fishing put the Crappies to the bottom and very finicky they wanted slow moving bait ,I was site fishing for them to late for everyone to know should of hit it hard for pre fishing instead of staying away would of figured it out by tournament day big mistake but I think we all had fun and it was an experience fishing in a group of 50 teams side by side is pretty tough and for 81 teams i think we did good Jeffrey 2ND and Jason 17Th ....and...... Kevin and Jeff 18Th ...Good going guys ........

Zack and I will be heading up to Mille Lacs next weekend. Can't wait to get on the ice and give another shot. We learned a lot last year. Hopefully it will show.

Extremely tough conditions and fishing. We ended 34th of 78. As much as I hate to say it, as much as I hate that lake. I want to go back and give it a go again next year.
